LEGO MASTERS Australia will return to TV screens next week for the competitive brick-building show’s third season down under.
The first episode is set to debut on Channel 9 and 9Now on Monday, April 19 at 7.30pm local time. Hamish Blake and Ryan McNaught are back on hosting and judging duties respectively, with eight new pairs of contestants gunning for the top prize of $100,000.
To reach that goal, they’ll need to make it through a fresh batch of unique building challenges, including constructing a racetrack vehicle with no wheels, bringing the Marvel Cinematic Universe to life, and designing an ‘out-of-this-world castle’ that – in true LEGO MASTERS style – will then be destroyed by a bowling ball.

Endemol Shine is also keeping things fresh with two new special elements: The Platinum Brick, which grants teams a significant advantage; and the Brick of Doom, which sounds like it essentially does the opposite. The premiere announcement is pretty light on specific details around those bricks, so you’ll have to tune in to find out how much difference they make to the teams.
The identities of those contestants have also yet to be revealed, but will apparently include a young couple, a pair of mothers and – naturally – some great pals.
Those of us in the UK, meanwhile, will be able to tune into the first season of LEGO MASTERS USA from 9pm tonight, when the Will Arnett-hosted series debuts on E4.
