The LEGO Group is ticking off another classic Toy Story character across May’s trio of newly-revealed sets, leaving us with just two to go…
Since 2010, the LEGO Group has brought us almost the entire main cast of Toy Story characters in one form or another, with only a handful of gaps left to plug. Another of those will be filled in May with 43301 Toy Story Slinky Dog Bookends, which finally brings us a minifigure-scale Slinky Dog figure to accompany its giant brick-built character.

If that piece never finds its way out of that set we’re potentially looking at a pretty pricey character on the aftermarket, but at least it exists and is attainable even if it costs more than you’d hope. The same can’t be said for Mr. Potato Head and Mrs. Potato Head, however, who have still yet to receive LEGO minifigures (or figures of any sort).
Those are now the two outstanding main characters from the original Toy Story crew, and with Toy Story 5 on the horizon this summer it’ll be interesting to see if the LEGO Group tackles them in any fashion at some point in 2026. After all, the three LEGO Toy Story sets revealed so far are all buildable objects or characters, and only one includes minifigures of any kind. Will minifigure-scale playsets follow later this year? We can but hope.
In the meantime, here’s a reminder of where the rest of the LEGO Toy Story gang has shown up so far…
Woody

The most common LEGO Toy Story character has been available across a bunch of sets since 2010, first arriving with a specially-moulded head and longer limbs before being reimagined with a regular minifigure design in 2019. He’s back again in 43301 Toy Story Slinky Dog Bookends, although absent the dual-moulded legs of prior iterations, which isn’t great given this 18+ set costs £139.99 / $149.99 / €149.99.
Buzz Lightyear

Buzz is another O.G. cast member who benefited from dedicated elements in the original Toy Story wave, before his moulded head was dropped in favour of a classic minifigure head in 2016’s Disney Collectible Minifigures series. He still gets a cool armour and jetpack piece, mind you, which has also returned in recent LEGO Disney Toy Story sets.
Jessie

Next to Woody and Buzz, Jessie is probably the Toy Story character with the best representation in LEGO, having appeared across multiple sets in both eras of the franchise (moulded heads and regular minifigures). You’ll find her on shelves currently in
Bo Peep

Bo Peep was a long time coming for LEGO Toy Story, having been overlooked in the original wave of sets. That means the only version of her we have to date is as a standard LEGO minifigure, first appearing in a couple of Toy Story 4 sets in 2019 and then in her classic outfit from the first movie in 2025’s
Bullseye

By contrast, Bullseye has yet to reappear since debuting in two LEGO Toy Story sets back in 2010, so we’ve only got that original version to go on. With one eye on other non-humanoid characters in this list, though, it’s unlikely a modern rendition of Bullseye would actually be much different – and he’s not too expensive to pick up secondhand, so no fear if he gets overlooked again in 2026.
Slinky Dog

The year is 2026 and we’re only just getting our first LEGO Slink minifigure (or minifigure-scale figure, if you prefer your nomenclature to be as confusing as possible). You’ll just need to part with £139.99 / $149.99 / €149.99 to get your hands on him in 43301 Toy Story Slinky Dog Bookends, or else cough up likely north of £30 for him on the aftermarket (is our prediction, anyway).
Rex

Despite showing up in only three sets – two in 2010 and one in 2019 – Rex is surprisingly affordable on the aftermarket, so we may be well off in our Slinky Dog predictions (and fingers crossed that is the case). You can grab either version for just north of £5 on BrickLink, and the only real difference between them is the printing. The modern iteration from 2019’s 10769 RV Vacation is slightly superior in that regard.
Hamm

Like Bullseye, Hamm the Piggy Bank has so far only appeared in the original LEGO Toy Story sets, racking up three unique variants across three models: a standard version in 7598 Pizza Planet Truck Rescue, rocking a cute hat in 7597 Western Train Chase and with dirt markings in 7596 Trash Compactor Escape. If you want the regular one now, you’re looking at paying around £10 plus shipping from BrickLink.
Aliens

Last up in the O.G. Toy Story gang are the Aliens, who are getting another LEGO set this year with 43307 Alien with Pizza Planet Rocket Ride. There’s no minifigure version included in that one, though, so you’ll need to track down one of the three versions from 2010 or the updated variant from 2019’s 10769 RV Vacation and 10771 Carnival Thrill Coaster.
Head here to check out the three new Toy Story LEGO sets coming our way in May. And finally, here’s to Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head one day getting their chance to shine in LEGO…
